Two too long

If you've checked this site lately to see if "soon" ever came (as in "coming soon"), you probably noticed "soon" meant "sooner or later"… So what was the hold up? Answer: ExpressionEngine 2, that's what. Around the time of the current redesign a number of things started to become the new standard. HTML5, CSS3 and mobile versions of sites -- which has more recently morphed into Responsive Design (sites that change layouts depending on the width of the viewing device). And finally, ExpressionEngine 2 (this site's Content Management System) came out of beta, and was fully embraced by the "EE" development community. So for me to continue adding on to the site as it was, didn't seem to make practical sense. I decided I needed to finally upgrade the site's backend first. That's when I discovered that using this site as a testing ground for every bit of interesting code I'd stumbled across in the past few years made the upgrade process a bit more complex than I had anticipated. I will post my warnings about this "soon". Anyway, on the third try I was able to get the bulk of the content moved or accessible and progress on the will resume as time allows.
